Ivan Pavlov described how animals (and by extension humans) can be trained to respond in a certain way to particular stimulus, what is known as ‘conditioned reflex’. Pavlov trained (conditioned) his dog to equate the sound of a bell to food, so that when Pavlov’s dog heard a bell, the dog automatically began to salivate.
I am Pavlov’s Cat, I carry my own bell, and I do not subscribe to society’s imposed conditioned reflex. I watch others jump, shout, or salivate when they hear their bells; then I shake my head, ring my bell and upset their reflexive conditioning.
This blog is the sound of my bell.
Purrrfect!
